What We Believe In & Do
We believe the world will be more beautiful with acrylic. It is durability and general aesthetic empowers and opens a lot of possibilities to designers. Most important, acrylic is unique among polymers in that it can be completely depolymerized to its original monomer. We also love acrylic for its beneficial functionality.
For that reason we are so eager to create the best-quality acrylic and our dream is for the world to enjoy the quality of our acrylic.
Our Vision
To be a global leading manufacturer and a preferred supplier of cast acrylic sheets.
Our Mission
We are committed to providing the utmost quality and service to ensure the continuity, growth and development of our people and business.

Manufacturing Excellence and Sustainability
ASTARIGLAS® cast acrylic sheets are manufactured in two Astari Niagara Internasional plants in Cikupa on the outskirts of the Jakarta and Bitung.
In early 2010, we rolled out a major technology upgrade across our manufacturing sites and offices, as well as upgrading our ISO standards to comply with ISO 2000: 2008 requirements. We continue to implement Lean Six Sigma manufacturing methodology that organises, develops and sustains a productive work environment that continues our drive toward creating the best-quality products.
Our state-of-the-art factories and warehouses are located on 50,000 square metres of land and are custom designed for maximum efficiency, reliability and safety; three attributes that allow us to minimise costs low while guarding against incidents that might disrupt or slow production.
Safety
Both factories are designed for adherence to high safety standards. For instance, Reaction Towers are kept separate from other manufacturing areas. The Factories are also equipped with explosion-proof equipment and utilities. We also maintain around-the-clock security around all factory perimeters.
Reliability
We use ‘clean energy’ gas turbine to power our factories, along with diesel generators for back up, as well as commercial power supply connection as a third back up power source. Besides keeping costs down and providing a guaranteed power supply, this gas turbine is also able to ensure a better environmental impact.
Efficiency
The efficient, integrated layout of our factories and warehouses extends to the design of our multiple loading docks and location on major highways providing direct access to the main ports.

Quality Assurance & Process Control
Quality is our first and foremost consideration. We believe the quality of our product is the main factor that has grown our business and company into what it is today. Hence the design of our entire manufacturing process is to guarantee that only the best quality is attained.
Starting from the material, we only use pure raw materials, including high-quality MMA raw materials (virgin MMA only) that are formed into sheets through a carefully controlled manufacturing process that results in premium product quality.
Regarding manufacturing method, we only use methods that are able to produce the best quality acrylic sheet, using the cell cast method. In polymeric materials, molecular weight is a measure of chain length. As chain length increases, desirable properties of the material increase such as impact strength, chemical resistance and hardness. Each production method has an upper limit to the molecular weight that can be achieved. The cell casting method produces the highest molecular weight acrylic sheet.
We inspect 100 percent of our products that come out from our production line. Every single sheet is meticulously checked before it leaves the factory.
And to complete our effort, Astari Niagara International is ISO certified. In early 2010, we successfully upgraded to ISO 9001:2008 standards and in 2018 we have managed to upgrade our ISO certification to ISO 9001:2015. This upgrade is applicable for our head office as well as factory sites.
A quest for perfection is never ending; hence continuous improvement is an ongoing progression at Astari.

Innovation and RnD
As we continue to innovate, the everyday applications of our acrylic sheets have become more and more versatile, leading to benefits for an increasing number of industries and people. This has been a key feature of the drive within our specialist research and development (R&D) laboratory, were we are continuing striving to create various grades of cell cast acrylic sheets through careful calibration and precision testing.
Our state-of-the-art, in-house laboratories are operated by experienced technicians and researchers, and are dedicated to keeping our product pipeline robust and the quality high. These facilities also enable us to produce customized products according to customer request.
Supply Assurance
Supplying customers in more than 350 destinations in more than 60 countries is not an easy task. We realize that building a strong supply chain is a key factor in supporting our business.
Starting from raw material sourcing, we realize the importance of MMA multiple sourcing to secure continuous supplies to our factory.
Understanding that we are handling high-risk materials, we have divided our production activity in two manufacturing sites.
It is an important step to take in managing the risk of supply security.
To complete the system, our factories are equipped with multiple loading docks and connected directly to major transportation networks for immediate shipping. To ensure that our products arrive on time and in a good condition, we work with carefully selected major shipping partners, moving our products around the globe.
